On Sunday, July 16th, 2017, I filled up at this Esso gas station at 9:16am. I used pump 4 and prepaid for $25.00. The regular gas was listed at 99.9. When it hit $25.00 and stopped pumping, I noticed that it had only pumped 21.57L of gas, which clearly isn't 99.9. I took my receipt into the store and notified the associate of the error. The associate called the owner, Mr. Wayne Lee, who told the associate that it was my fault and I pressed Supreme and there was nothing he could do. This was not the associates problem and I did not argue with him. I am 100% confident that I chose regular gas (in my 18 years of driving, I have never pumped the wrong type of gas into my car). I would even be willing to have the gas in my tank tested; that's how sure I am. Mr. Lee never offered to check the pump, ensure that it was charging the correct price and not once offered to reimburse the difference of cost. He just kept repeating that it was my fault.
I can promise that I will NEVER use that particular Esso station again and, honestly, it makes me hesitate to use another Esso station at all. If Mr. Lee is aware that his pump is faulty, then that's a crime and it concerns me that his station wouldn't be the only one. I am not impressed at all with how this was dealt with.
